Job summary

A leading crypto infrastructure company is seeking a Head of Security to enhance security across their products and infrastructure. In this hands-on builder role, you will secure CI/CD pipelines, manage security tools, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in security engineering, holds a CISSP or similar certification, and is ready to shape security practices in a fast-growing environment. This is a remote-first position with occasional travel to the London and Paris offices.

The role

We’re looking for a dynamic Head of Security—a pragmatic engineer ready to shape and elevate security across our product, infrastructure, and organisation. This is a hands‑on builder role: you’ll deploy cutting‑edge tools, write impactful code, design robust processes, and navigate audits—all potentially within a single quarter. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations, you’ll embed security into the heart of everything we do. What you’ll do

• Secure CI/CD pipelines, container workflows, infra‑as‑code, and deployment tooling
• Define and enforce access controls, auditing, and logging for internal services
• Evaluate and manage security tools (EDR, vulnerability scanners, SCA, etc.)
• Own and manage internal authentication (SSO, MFA, identity lifecycle)
• Secure endpoints, laptops, and internal systems
• Lead security awareness and employee training programs
• Drive SOC 1/2 and other compliance frameworks
• Build internal security policies, playbooks, and operational processes
• Manage relationships with vendors, auditors, and pentesters

We’re looking for someone who

• Has 5+ years of hands‑on experience in security engineering, ideally in SaaS
• Holds a CISSP or similar certification
• Brings strong knowledge of cloud security, secure software development, and common vulnerabilities
• Has proven experience securing production environments and CI/CD systems
• Understands and has worked with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Knows how to deploy and operationalise security tools effectively
• Communicates clearly and collaborates across teams with ease
• Takes a pragmatic, system‑oriented approach to balancing risk and speed
