Salary and Location

Salary in the range of £52,093 - £58,332 per annum
including London Weighting

Locations: Barra Hall, Hayes and Uxbridge Campus

Job Role

As Head of School Supported Learning for Uxbridge College, you would lead curriculum teams based at Uxbridge and Barra Hall in Hayes, our new SEND centre opening in September 2025.

Reporting and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Principal for Supported and Targeted Learning, you will lead a team of curriculum and support staff, overseeing full and part-time courses, managing quality, and leading development planning, including preparations for qualification changes.

Candidate Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent and a minimum of Level 5 teaching qualification recognized by the FE sector
  • Proven experience in teaching and learning, with strategies to improve attendance and retention
  • Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and recent initiatives in SEND, including the SEND code of practice
  • Understanding and application of inclusive learning strategies, with a commitment to equality and diversity
  • Experience managing a team, including coaching and staff development
  • Experience managing change and implementing new initiatives, including curriculum developments
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in SEND (desirable)
