Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead scheme events in line with Regulatory timescales, contractual Service Level Agreements and client expectations.
  • Lead the delivery of the scheme event service and projects in line with the annual Business Plan for the Scheme Event department, including budget management, headcount forecasting, cost saving and opportunistic income delivery.
  • With support from the Client Relationship Team, instil within the Scheme Event’s Team a clear understanding of client requirements through demonstrating a good understanding of their contractual expectations and strategy.
  • Drive improvements in team productivity, quality, effectiveness and other Key Performance Indicators.
  • Drive improvements in team by driving best practices and technology.
  • Adhere to the ISO and Investors in People Standards, Quality Management System and comply with pensions and FCA regulations and initiatives, for example, Consumer Duty requirements
  • Work with the senior management team and change function to develop and embed process and service improvements
  • Handle escalated complex queries, tasks and issues and provide information, advice and support to the business.
  • Work with the Leadership Team to set Business Plan objectives and manage the overall delivery of these objectives.
  • Review department delivery against objectives and hold regular one to ones with direct reports, reviewing delivery against objectives and individual staff performance ensuring that all staff are adequately challenged and performance is measured consistently across the business unit.

What Are We Looking For

Essential

  • DB Pensions experience in Scheme Events or Pensions Operations
  • Line managed and developed a team with a mix of home based and hybrid team members
  • Strong project management experience
  • Strategy execution, planning and organising skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of operating principles, practices, and procedures as well as commercial awareness
  • Ability to analyse and interpret operational data, prepare business reports and translate client needs into technical solutions
  • Ability to champion innovation and continuous improvement

Desirable

  • Have worked with Public Sector clients
