A leading recruitment agency is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to lead a commercial team in the fast-paced environment of short-shelf-life products. This role offers a path towards higher positions such as Commercial Director. Key responsibilities include managing demanding customer relationships and contributing to the business's strategic direction. Ideal candidates thrive under pressure and have experience with major retail accounts. If you are ready to step up and make a significant impact, this could be your next career move.
This is a great chance to step up in your career and lead a commercial team. This role could also lead to a Commercial Director/Business Unit Director role with wider responsibilities in the future. So, it might not only be your next role, but also the promotion after that. You'll lead a team to deliver results with a variety of customers and routes to market, but you'll still be hands‑on with the customers and involved in the day‑to‑day. It's a fast‑paced environment, and no two days will be the same. That does mean that it is harder to plan and forecast, but the variety and pace will ensure there'll never be a dull moment. If you thrive in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments where you can positively impact a team and business, this could be the move you have been looking for.
Forming part of the SLT, you'll play a part in the future strategy and direction of the business and the development of the team. You'll likely know what is involved. You'll be supplying a mixture of the grocers across different routes to market. The customers are demanding, and you'll need to lead the team to manage those relationships and maximise the return on your efforts. The business would suit someone with a background in short‑shelf‑life products who has managed major retail accounts.
