Job summary

RNLI in Poole, Dorset, is seeking an experienced leader to head Safety Learning & Insight, driving learning from experience and strengthening safety performance across the organisation.

You'll lead the Safety Learning & Insight Team, champion Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) principles, and translate insights into practical actions that improve safety, governance, and continuous improvement at RNLI.

Qualifications

• Experience leading organisational learning, performance assurance or continuous improvement in a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) and Just Culture.
• Ability to gather, analyse and communicate information from multiple sources to identify risks.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.

• Lead and shape how RNLI learns from safety occurrences and operational experience.
• Oversee safety learning reviews, intelligence products and performance analysis.
• Influence governance and translate findings into timely practical actions.
