Join Our Senior Leadership Team as Head of Risk

Now, we’re looking for a Head of Risk to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role, providing strategic leadership for our risk management framework, ensuring organisational resilience, and guiding our response to regulatory and industry challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the development and delivery of our organisation-wide risk management strategy
• Overseeing risk frameworks, fraud investigations, and intelligence-gathering activities
• Advising the Executive Director and Strategic Planning Team on emerging threats and opportunities
• Managing and supporting the Risk Operations Manager to deliver effective oversight across EQA Services and Standardisation
• Ensuring compliance with Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition and other regulatory requirements
• Producing clear and robust reports for the Governing Body, senior leadership, and regulators

Who You Are

• Extensive experience in risk management and compliance within a regulated or awarding organisation environment
• Strong knowledge of Ofqual’s regulatory framework
• Proven experience developing and implementing risk frameworks and policies
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• High integrity, with the ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and organisational resilience
