Job summary

A leading training provider in the UK seeks a Head of Quality to manage and enhance their Quality and Curriculum Improvement Cycle. You will ensure compliance with Ofsted and awarding organisations, and develop innovative curricula. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in education quality assurance and strong leadership skills. This full-time role offers a salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience, and various benefits including a pension scheme and generous leave allowance.

Qualifications

Role Purpose

As the Head of Quality you will take ownership of our Quality and Curriculum Improvement Cycle including the Self-Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan.

Your role is vital in ensuring that our curriculums remain at the heart of our operations. You will collaborate closely with our Curriculum Quality Manager to enhance and refine our programs based on feedback and innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment.

You will ensure compliance with the requirements of Awarding Organisations and End Point Assessment Organisations while working with our Head of People to continually up-skill our delivery and quality staff.

We have invested heavily in developing our own bespoke learning management systems and e-portfolio. You will work closely with our internal software developers to develop and improve the systems to improve performance productivity and learner experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and oversee the Quality and Curriculum Improvement Cycle.
  • Develop and enhance curriculums using innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all Awarding Organisations.
  • Keep quality and delivery teams updated on changes in qualifications.
  • Regularly review and update all policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and communicate registration and certification requirements and updates from awarding organisations to the wider business.
  • Oversee the quality of teaching, learning and assessment across all apprenticeship and adult learning programs.
  • Manage internal quality assurance (IQA) processes to meet awarding organisation and End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) requirements.
  • Develop and up-skill our delivery and quality staff.
  • Enhance and improve our bespoke learning management systems and e-portfolio.
  • Manage the Internal Quality Assurance Team.
Skills and Experience required
  • Substantial experience in leading and driving quality within a Further Education (FE) provider.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of Adult Care and Leadership and Management Apprenticeships.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted Inspections.
  • Experience working with Awarding Organisations and End-Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for raising standards and improving learner outcomes.
  • Ability to manage, motivate and develop staff effectively.
  • Recognised healthcare qualification or background in clinical or care settings.
  • Relevant teaching, assessing and quality qualification such as the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (or equivalent).
