The Role

As Head of QHSE, you will lead the strategy, development, and delivery of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across the organisation. This senior leadership role requires a proactive, experienced professional who can strengthen the company’s safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed best practice throughout all operations. You will have significant influence across the business and play a key role in shaping safe and efficient project delivery.

Responsibilities of the Head of QHSE
  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of QHSE policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Oversee audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training programmes that support a strong safety culture.
  • Guide and develop the QHSE team, ensuring high capability, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with regulators, industry bodies, and internal stakeholders, providing clear reporting and upholding best practice.
Requirements of the Head of QHSE
  • Strong QHSE leadership experience within marine, civil, construction, or related sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and risk management methodologies.
  • Professional QHSE qualifications such as NEBOSH, with CMIOSH (or equivalent) highly desirable.
