Trevett Services are recruiting now for a Head of Projects to work with a Hard FM business in Kent with projects across London and the Southeast. In the role of Head of Projects you will provide leadership and operational excellence to oversee the delivery of projects between £500k to £3m.

You will be instrumental in driving project success from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a pivotal role for a proven leader with significant experience in the M&E and Building Services sector, looking to make a substantial impact on our project delivery capabilities and contribute to the continued growth and success.

Key Duties of the role:

• Develop and implement project management strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability across all projects. Actively contribute to business growth and strategic planning.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle for multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring robust planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Drive operational excellence, identify and mitigate project risks, and ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Accountable for project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and ensuring projects achieve commercial targets and profitability. Monitor project performance against key financial metrics.
• Demonstrate a proven history of winning and delivering project works of performance values.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of Project Managers and supporting staff. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure client expectations are not only met but exceeded, fostering repeat business and positive referrals.

The ideal person will have:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Extensive proven experience in a senior project management or director‑level role within the M&E / Building Services sector.
• Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering complex, high‑value building services projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience with contract negotiation, financial management, and P&L responsibility.
• In‑depth knowledge of M&E systems, building regulations, health & safety legislation, and industry best practices.
