A children’s activity organization in Ovingdean is seeking a Head of Programme to lead holiday camps and activities for children aged 5 to 16. The role involves safeguarding responsibilities, planning and delivering activities, and fostering a supportive environment. Flexible working days are available within a structured holiday program.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work within a supportive growing team during the school holiday periods, supporting our Holiday, Activities and Food programme, funded by the Department of Education.
A Head of Programme would be responsible for leading the holiday camp and leading activities to children ages 5 - 16 years old, with assistance from the onsite instructors. Activities follow a modular daily plan provided in advance of the holiday programme start date, each activity will follow any of the following pillars of activity.
Examples include:
Working days are based off of team availability and can be flexible, we typically operate a 4-day working week from 4-5 hours per day*.
Inform Regional Lead of safeguarding concerns.
Ensure all children are always supervised, both structured and unstructured activities (this includes toilet breaks, break and lunch).
Ensure instructors are well informed with their daily duties.
Ensure registers are completed in a timely manner and head counts sent to the Regional Leads.
