Co‑op Wholesale is growing, and we're looking for people who want to lead on what comes next. As our Head of Product, you'll shape the future of digital, data, and technology for Co‑op Wholesale. You'll set the vision and strategy for our partner- and customer‑facing products, making sure they're efficient, secure, and deliver real value. Collaboration is key in this role. You'll act as the main connect between our Co‑op Wholesale Business and the Digital Technology and Data functions such as enterprise platforms, service, networks, information security, and data. Alongside this, you'll lead a talented product team, champion innovation, and create a technology roadmap that supports growth, profitability, loyalty, and sustainability.

Why this role matters

We're building something big at Co-op Wholesale. With a refreshed structure and exciting plans ahead, we're creating new opportunities to strengthen our proposition for our independent retailers, key accounts, and a growing corporate client base.

To make that happen, we need a strong digital product vision, and secure, high‑quality digital products. That's where you come in. You'll set our strategy, define the roadmap, and make sure our products deliver real value for our business and, most importantly, our partners: helping them to grow, compete, and thrive.

If you're passionate about transforming businesses through digital innovation and have a strong, customer‑first mindset, we want to hear from you. This is your chance to shape what comes next for Co‑op Wholesale - bringing new ideas to life and making a real impact. Be part of it.

What you'll do
  • Set and own the digital product vision and roadmap for Co‑op Wholesale
  • Make the most of existing technology to deliver value to our partners
  • Lead cross‑functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Delivery Managers, to create high‑quality digital products
  • Act as the main link between Co‑op Wholesale business and our DT&D functions
  • Design the operating model and roadmap for digital, data, and technology within Wholesale
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
  • Use data and insights to guide decisions and continuous improvement activity
  • Coach and mentor Product Managers and other team members, supporting their growth and development
  • Make sure our digital products are secure, scalable, resilient, and always innovative
What you'll bring
  • Experience leading product teams in complex, regulated organisations
  • A strong understanding of B2B and wholesale operations
  • Knowledge of agile ways of working, digital product lifecycle management, and platform thinking
  • The ability to influence senior colleagues and bring cross‑functional teams together
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and data governance

  • Private healthcare
  • An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
  • 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
  • A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
  • 30% discount on Co‑op products and 10% off other brands
