Role Overview

We’re looking for a Head of Design to shape the future of product design at IMP. This is a strategic and hands‑on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑growing SaaS environment and is passionate about solving complex user problems through elegant design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership
    • Build and lead a high‑performing design team, fostering a culture of creativity, inclusion and excellence.
    • Define and evolve the design vision and strategy in alignment with product and business goals.
    • Establish scalable design processes that integrate seamlessly with product development.
    • Advocate for design thinking and accessibility across the organisation.
    • Define, introduce and track KPIs to measure design team impact and efficiency.
    • Drive design to be a core consideration in decision‑making.
    • Mentor and manage designers, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Product Design
    • Lead end‑to‑end design for strategic product initiatives, from discovery to delivery.
    • Collaborate cross‑functionally to shape product strategy and ensure design feasibility.
    • Own and evolve the design system to support consistency, scalability and speed.
    • Partner with Product to continuously improve the product development lifecycle.
  • User Research & Validation
    • Champion user research and validation practices to inform product decisions.
    • Translate user insights into actionable design and product improvements.
    • Define and track UX metrics to measure user satisfaction and product usability.
    • Embed empathy for users in every stage of the design process.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Act as a strategic partner to Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams.
    • Align design efforts with business goals and user needs.
    • Communicate design rationale effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience leading design in a SaaS or B2B environment.
  • Track record of building and scaling design teams and systems.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing strategic thinking and measurable impact.
  • Deep proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Strong understanding of accessibility, responsive design and front‑end technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in finance, education or enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with Blazor or component‑based frameworks.
  • Experience with Telerik or similar design systems.
