An NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Procurement for Digital and Technology in London. The role focuses on leading ICT procurement, developing category strategies, and managing contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement management, aligned with the Trust’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. This leadership position offers an opportunity to influence strategy and enhance patient care by improving procurement outcomes within a supportive and inclusive environment.
The Head of Procurement for Digital and Technology will act as the main point of contact for procurement for both the ICT department and all clinical and non‑clinical ICT requirements of the Trust. They will be responsible for delivering an excellent procurement service, working collaboratively with colleagues and acting as senior advisers to the leadership team gaining their trust. The job holder will be directly responsible for managing the portfolio of contracts, maintaining the procurement pipeline and developing category strategies for ICT, contributing to the centralisation of ICT spend in the Trust to avoid duplication. They will also provide procurement advice to Data Research, Innovation and Virtual Environments (DRIVE), the Trust’s innovation unit through data and digital technologies, with partnerships across the NHS, industry and academia, and work closely with the Programme Director of the Electronic Patient Record programme. Delivery of savings will be a key responsibility.
