We’re looking for a driven and dynamic Head of Procurement Data & Analytics to contribute to our continued success on a global scale.

The Role

This role is pivotal in shaping the future of procurement through data-driven decision-making. The Head of Procurement Data Analyst & Insights will act as the data controller for all third‑party expenditure, deliver actionable insights, and lead the evaluation and adoption of eProcurement and AI tools. The position will provide dashboards, reports, and presentations that influence strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement across global procurement operations.

As a key member of the Global Procurement function, the role holder will leverage advanced analytical skills to manage and optimise procurement data, systems, and insights. Responsibilities span across contracts, sourcing enquiries, third‑party spend, financial health, market indices, stakeholder engagement, savings tracking, project initiatives, industry AVL’s, procurement cycle times, and reporting frameworks. The role will support the wider team by extracting and analysing data, compiling presentations, and enabling the execution of category strategies aligned with senior business stakeholders.

You will contribute to building a high‑performing, inclusive, and trusted global procurement team that operates as a credible business partner of choice. The function strives to deliver recognised industry best practices, ensuring sustainable, innovative solutions and positive outcomes for the business.

Strong relationship management is essential. The role holder must establish and maintain effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders and strategic data systems suppliers, representing Procurement as a trusted advisor and key business representative.

Key Tasks
Own and manage all procurement data sources

Establish and maintain a centralised data repository for all procurement‑related information, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards. Implement robust validation processes and audit trails to guarantee reliability and transparency.

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools

Design and deliver interactive dashboards and automated reporting solutions that provide real‑time visibility into enquiry portal and spend patterns, supplier performance, risk indicators, and compliance metrics. Continuously enhance reporting capabilities to meet evolving business needs.

Develop visually engaging dashboards and presentation materials

Create compelling visualisations and executive‑level presentations that communicate procurement performance, strategic priorities, and insights in a clear and impactful manner. Tailor content for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and operational teams.

Lead the evaluation and implementation of eProcurement platforms and AI‑driven solutions

Drive digital transformation by assessing emerging technologies, conducting feasibility studies, and managing end‑to‑end implementation of eProcurement systems and AI tools. Ensure seamless integration with existing ERP (Dynamics 365) and procurement systems (Enquiry Portal).

Utilise advanced data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python/R)

Apply advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modelling, trend analysis, and scenario planning, to generate actionable insights that support strategic sourcing decisions and cost optimisation initiatives.

Ensure robust data security and GDPR compliance

Implement and monitor data protection measures across all procurement systems, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to maintain secure data environments.

Ensure all reporting aligns with the Global Procurement Balanced Scorecard

Embed Balanced Scorecard metrics into all reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and procurement KPIs. Provide regular performance updates and trend analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

Develop and maintain data frameworks for the Procurement Centre of Excellence (CoE)

Establish global standards for data governance, reporting, and analytics within the CoE. Ensure consistency, scalability, and best practices across all regions and categories.

Create and manage standardised reporting templates and dashboards for CoE initiatives

Deliver benchmarking tools and performance dashboards that enable continuous improvement and support CoE‑led transformation programmes.

Provide advanced analytics to support CoE projects

Deliver deep‑dive analysis for supplier segmentation, risk modelling, category strategy development, and market intelligence to enhance procurement maturity and innovation.

Own and manage the Global Procurement SharePoint and Intranet page

Driving meaningful content and ensuring easy access for stakeholders: procurement policies, processes, documentation, and sharing news and updates.

Develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Promote continuous performance improvement ethos with stakeholders internally and externally, which results in Global Procurement being recognised as a high performing function.

  • Excellent data analytics skills with the ability to use advanced excel with minimal guidance, able to create dynamic reporting using pivot tables, graphs, advanced formula’s etc.
  • Advanced understanding of PowerPoint/Keynote with the ability to create high quality presentations using the available Microsoft tools with minimal guidance.
  • A proactive professional with good networking skills as well as good stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills.
  • First class communication and facilitation skills.
Education and Qualifications
  • Relevant work experience: Min 6 yrs., including 3 years of working within a procurement and supply chain function/environment delivering data analytics and insight strategies
  • Data Storytelling: Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights and narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong capability to align analytics and reporting with organisational goals and procurement strategy.
  • Communication Excellence: Skilled in creating and delivering impactful presentations that influence senior stakeholders and support executive decision‑making.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead projects, foster cross‑functional collaboration, and build strong relationships across global operations.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools, dashboard development, and emerging technologies such as AI and eProcurement platforms.
