Are you excited by the chance to help stand up a sector-leading procurement framework under the new Procurement Act?
CDS exists to provide, support and promote co‑operative and community‑led housing so that more people can live and work in co‑operative ways. We are the country’s largest provider of governance, financial and housing management support to small housing co‑operatives, we are small social landlord in our right and we are innovating new routes to grow community‑led housing in England.
We’re establishing a major new Procurement Act‑compliant digital Open Framework, appointing Plentific as managing agent. This framework will give social landlords a safe, easy and compliant way to procure contractors for works large and small — all digitally enabled. As Procurement Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting up and running this framework and in maturing CDS’s wider procurement approach.
You’re a collaborative procurement professional who brings credibility with colleagues and suppliers alike. You can balance rigour with pragmatism, translate legislation into workable practice and communicate simply. You will have – or be working toward – a relevant professional qualification (e.g. MCIPS) and have at least three years’ experience and experience managing procurement within a regulated public sector or housing environment.
We recruit and develop people who live our values every day: Unity, Trust, Intention, Impact, Collaboration, Communication and Kindness. If these describe how you work, we’d love to hear from you.
We offer genuine flexibility (hybrid working with access to our SE1 office), a supportive culture and opportunities for learning and development, alongside a competitive benefits package.
We are working to be an anti‑racist, inclusive organisation and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We value challenge and learning in all our work.
