Taxation in London is seeking a Head of Tax to own and develop the private client tax function. You will lead a team serving a diverse UK and international client base, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, expatriates, non-UK residents and trusts.

You will shape the direction of the tax practice, drive operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality client service while reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience in private client tax.
• CTA qualification preferred or equivalent experience.
• Broad knowledge of private client tax (non-doms, entrepreneurs, share schemes).
• Experience managing a client portfolio through self-assessment.
• Ability to research complex tax matters and prepare written advice.
• Proven leadership and delivery of results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercial awareness and client relationship development.

Aufgaben

• Lead and manage the private client tax department, reporting to the MD.
• Oversee performance, KPIs and efficiency improvements.
• Lead team meetings, reviews and training programmes.
• Support recruitment and staff development.
• Build relationships with clients and prospective clients; lead client meetings.
• Manage new leads and opportunities to grow the business.
• Oversee tax return processes with outsourcing providers; review completed returns.
• Provide technical tax advice and prepare planning reports.
• Maintain a select portfolio of key clients; deliver tax compliance and advisory services.
• Contribute to strategic development and cross-service collaboration.
• Produce technical articles and tax-related content as required.
