Overview:

firm. Our client is renowned for delivering innovative solutions across a broad range of industries. As part of their ongoing investment in technology, they are seeking a Head of Platform & Infrastructure Engineering to lead both infrastructure and DevOps functions within their London division.

The Role:

This senior role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management across both

infrastructure systems and DevOps engineering. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for maintaining, modernizing, and scaling critical enterprise platforms that support global financial

operations.

Role & Responsibilities:

Serve as a technical escalation point and architecture advisor for infrastructure and platform
projects.
Collaborate with the business and IT stakeholders to align infrastructure and platform
strategy with organisational goals.
Ensure all services are secure by design, working closely with the information security team
to proactively manage risks.
Drive service improvement and operational resilience through automation, observability, and

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in leading platform/infrastructure and DevOps teams in a hands-on
capacity.
Strong technical foundation in both traditional infrastructure and modern DevOps tooling
and methodologies.
Able to operate at both strategic and detailed technical levels, including architecture,
planning, and execution.
Passion for engineering excellence, automation, and continuous improvement.
Confident engaging with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
Comfortable navigating complex, fast-paced enterprise environments and managing
competing priorities.
Strong experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies.
Solid understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, IaC (e.g., Terraform, ARM), and automation scripting
(e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Cloud experience (ideally Azure) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms.
