Job summary

La Fosse in London is seeking a Head of Technology Platforms to lead Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, DevSecOps and Enterprise AI enablement.

You will define the platform strategy, build scalable internal developer platforms, drive reliability, security and governance, and lead high-performing teams through a digital transformation towards AI-native ways of working.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership across Platform Eng, Cloud, SRE or DevOps.
• Experience in consumer-facing, high-volume digital environments.
• Strong track record modernising cloud platforms and improving developer productivity.
• Deep knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD and automation.
• Experience with enterprise AI platforms or AI-enabled engineering practices.

Head of Technology Platforms/ Platform Engineering

Location: London (Hybrid)

We are partnering with a leading consumer-facing organisation embarking on an ambitious technology transformation to appoint a Head of Technology Platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to shape the next generation of cloud, engineering and AI capabilities within a business investing significantly in its digital future.

The role will sit at the heart of the technology leadership team, with responsibility for building scalable, secure and highly reliable platforms that accelerate engineering delivery, enhance developer experience and enable the organisation's transition towards AI-native ways of working.

The Opportunity

You will lead a multidisciplinary function spanning Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevSecOps, Technology Operations and Enterprise AI enablement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Platform Strategy & Transformation: Define and deliver the technology platform roadmap, evolving cloud infrastructure, automation and self-service engineering capabilities.


• Engineering Enablement: Build modern internal developer platforms, improving developer productivity, deployment efficiency and engineering autonomy.


• Reliability & Operational Excellence: Strengthen SRE, observability, operational resilience and incident management across business-critical digital platforms.


• AI Platform & Adoption: Establish secure, scalable enterprise AI capabilities, enabling AI-native engineering, reusable AI services and wider business adoption.


• Security & Governance: Embed DevSecOps, automated security controls and appropriate governance into engineering platforms and delivery pipelines.


• Leadership & Capability Building: Develop and lead high-performing technical teams, driving engineering excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.

About You

We are particularly interested in technology leaders who bring:

• Proven leadership experience across Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps or a comparable technology function.


• Experience within consumer-facing, high-volume digital environments, ideally spanning retail, health & wellness, B2C, DTC, subscription-based products or similar sectors.


• A strong track record of modernising cloud platforms, building internal developer capabilities and improving engineering productivity.


• Deep understanding of modern cloud technologies (ideally Azure), Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation.


• Experience driving operational resilience, reliability engineering, observability and security across complex production environments.


• Exposure to enterprise AI platforms, LLM infrastructure or AI-enabled engineering practices would be highly advantageous.


• The ability to combine strategic technology leadership with genuine technical depth, commercial awareness and a hands-on transformation mindset.
