Job Description

Are you an experienced construction planning professional with a passion for strategic scheduling, programme management, and de-risking complex construction projects? This is your opportunity to join a highly regarded consultancy team, providing expert planning and scheduling advice to clients across major projects in multiple sectors.

We help our clients plan and visualise the construction sequence and logistics of complex projects, aiding the de-risking of the design and construction process to better optimise commercial outcomes. Our integrated programmes inform all stakeholders and investors, offering simplified monitoring tools to track progress and drive performance certainty.

Our planners are trusted advisors, offering critical insight throughout project lifecycles, from feasibility and design through to delivery and close-out. We are engaged to produce, review and assure master programmes, logistics strategies and construction sequencing that drive informed decision-making and mitigate delay and disruption risk. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, applying your expertise to ensure projects are realistic, achievable and aligned to strategic objectives.

Skills and Experience
  • Degree qualified within construction, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in construction planning and scheduling on major projects across the built environment
  • Proficient in using planning software such as Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project to create comprehensive programmes, logistics plans and sustainability strategies
  • Skilled at managing programme variations, assessing impacts, and handling Extensions of Time (EOTs)
  • Able to interpret design plans, briefs, and contract documentation to develop accurate and effective project schedules
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between cost, time, and risk in project delivery
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with an inquisitive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present complex programme information clearly to senior stakeholders and clients
  • Collaborative and professional approach to working with clients, design teams, and contractors
  • Experience supporting project assurance and peer review activities is desirable
  • Commitment to mentoring and developing junior team members
Client and Business Development Focus
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate and sell the value of high-quality planning and scheduling services to clients
  • Proven track record of contributing to business development activities, including preparing bids, proposals and client presentations
  • Capable of identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients through trusted advisory relationships
  • Impressive communicator, able to engage confidently with senior client representatives and stakeholders to build credibility and influence decision-making
  • Skilled at tailoring planning advice to meet client-specific challenges, clearly linking programme insights to commercial and strategic outcomes
