Job summary

Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is hiring a senior HR role focused on organisational effectiveness, employee relations and engagement. You will shape the colleagues' experience, develop systems thinking approaches and lead reward and benefits strategies.

The role offers permanent, full-time employment with flexible working options, a Civil Service Pension and a strong development pathway including professional qualifications such as CIPD, Prince2 or apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing organisation effectiveness, organisational development or strategic people change.
• Experience of employee relations in a unionised or consultative environment.
• Experience of systems leadership and applying systems thinking.
• Knowledge of reward and benefits, including the EVP to support attraction and retention.
• Experience of leading employee engagement and/or employee voice activities.
• Understanding of employment and discrimination law and governance for compliant people practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio connecting organisational effectiveness, employee relations, engagement, reward and colleague voice.
• Use workforce evidence and feedback to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop approaches strengthening engagement, colleague voice and visible action from feedback.
• Lead work on reward, benefits and the employee value proposition to support attraction and performance.
• Manage pension contributions and colleagues' leave and holiday policies.
• Support career development and professional qualifications funded by the department.
• Promote an inclusive, flexible working environment with staff support services.
