A leading cancer care provider in the UK is seeking a Head of Patient Safety to lead the development and implementation of its patient safety strategy. The successful candidate will manage investigations, ensure quality governance, and work closely with external stakeholders. This role provides an opportunity to shape a high-performing patient safety function in a multi-site organization committed to excellence in care.
Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is seeking to appoint a Head of Patient Safety to lead, manage and develop all aspects of patient safety, including the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) and quality governance within the Trust.
The post holder will develop, lead, implement and sustain an effective Trust patient safety strategy at both strategic and operational levels in line with the national patient safety strategy, and will lead the patient safety committee. They will also oversee the process of patient safety investigations, learning, assurance mechanisms, patient safety/quality improvement projects and monitoring effectiveness, and will lead on PSIRF learning responses where appropriate, along with Duty of Candour conversations with patients and families. This role offers an opportunity to establish and develop a high‑performing patient safety and quality governance function across a multi‑site organisation.
