A national development bank based in London is seeking a Head of Origination & Relationship Management to lead relationship management for their Delivery Partners. The role involves overseeing the origination strategy in banking products, requiring substantial banking and corporate finance experience. THE ROLE
In this position you are responsible for and will manage, either directly or through a team of relationship directors/managers, ongoing relationship aspects of the BBB’s portfolio of Delivery Partners, and the teams commercial relationships with both existing and potential Delivery Partners.
With responsibility for Business Development’s origination strategy towards the Delivery Partners with a focus on the Banking (debt) products, including the successful marketing of new transactions, you will also, in conjunction with the Product teams, input into the development of new product opportunities in response to economic and market conditions, all within the scope of the Banking and Investment Businesses business plan.
Ensuring the efficient running of the Origination and Relationship Management (ORM) team in conjunction with the Chief Development Officer is also a key requirement for this role.
You will have substantial experience as a banker, corporate financier and leadership, and be able to demonstrate proven experience in relationship management and developing corporate finance or SME securitisation transactions, and a deep knowledge of current regulations and future developments in this area.
A good understanding of the UK and European State Aid rules vis‑à‑vis government capital markets and SME support schemes is also required.
