Job summary

Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries Cambridge seeks an Operations Manager (Area Manager Level) to lead three nurseries in Cambridge, ensuring high-quality care, robust HR processes, and strong performance. You will coach managers, oversee safeguarding, and drive occupancy and financial performance across Regent Terrace, Grange Road and Marleigh, with on-site work 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 3 early years qualification or above.
• Experience leading more than one setting and expanding a group beyond three settings.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted inspection framework and health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Line-manage the three Nursery Managers and deputies with regular supervision.
• Maintain safeguarding oversight and ensure each setting remains inspection-ready.
• Lead growth, QA framework, policies, induction, and training materials across the group.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, occupancy, staffing, and KPI tracking.
• Develop leaders and coach managers to build a sustainable leadership pipeline.
