You will lead a large-scale operation, taking ownership of safety, production, quality, cost and continuous improvement while developing high-performing teams and driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in manufacturing with budgets and people.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and CI background with productivity gains.
• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field.

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operation in a 24/7 environment.
• Drive safety, productivity, quality, efficiency and customer service.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Develop and coach operational leaders to create a high-performance culture.
• Manage operational budgets and deliver cost improvements while protecting quality and safety.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Commercial and Finance to optimise performance.
• Support capital investment and operational improvement projects.
• Use data and KPIs to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Loom Talent are delighted to be partnering with a leading manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Head of Operations - Manufacturing for a key leadership role in the West Midlands.

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you'll lead a large-scale manufacturing operation, taking ownership of safety, production, quality, cost and continuous improvement while developing high-performing teams and driving operational excellence.

The Role

As Head of Operations - Manufacturing, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day manufacturing operation across a 24/7 production environment.
• Drive improvements in safety, productivity, quality, efficiency and customer service.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Develop and coach operational leaders, creating a high-performance culture.
• Manage operational budgets and deliver cost improvements without compromising quality or safety.
• Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Commercial and Finance to optimise operational performance.
• Support capital investment and operational improvement projects.
• Use data and KPIs to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

About You

You'll be an experienced manufacturing leader with a proven track record of delivering operational excellence within a fast-paced production environment. You'll have:

• Significant senior leadership experience within manufacturing, with responsibility for operational performance, budgets and people.
• A strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, with a proven ability to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, along with a degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related discipline.
