The Role

The Head of Music is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for leading the programming of music for the Roundhouse at both a strategic and operational level.

The role leads the high‑performing Commercial Music team (Senior Music Programmer, Music Event Manager and Music Events Coordinator), as well as working collaboratively with the Artistic and Youth Programming departments to create a dynamic and diverse music offer across the year for a wide range of audiences.

Weekend and evening work will be required according to business needs.

About you

As a music sector expert, you have proven success programming and booking a large‑scale venue or festival with high level contacts and networks in the music industry. The role requires extensive collaboration with External Promoters, Agents, and Artist Management, so you are known for exceptional account management with considerable experience of negotiating complex commercial contracts, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Leading a high‑performing team, you have a commitment to people management, a strong team‑working ethos coupled with a personal drive, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

  • Contract: Fixed Term (12 months from January 2026)
  • Hours: 35 hours per week (excluding breaks)
  • Salary: £68,000 per annum
