Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent or Long-term
Start Date: April 2026 (or sooner if available)

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a well-respected secondary school in the Kettering area who are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Head of Geography to lead their successful department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Geography Teacher ready to step into leadership, or an experienced Head of Department seeking a new challenge within a supportive and forward-thinking school.

The Role
  • Lead and develop the Geography department, driving high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Design and deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum across Key Stages 3-5.
  • Inspire students to develop a genuine passion for Geography and global issues.
  • Monitor progress, analyse data, and implement effective strategies to raise achievement.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to contribute to whole-school improvement.

  • Be committed to fostering a positive, high-achieving learning environment.
  • Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS check.
