Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology LLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head of Materials Management & Planning to oversee strategic materials activities at the Cathcart Manufacturing Facility. You will collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely procurement, optimal inventory, and achievable shop floor scheduling.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain dynamics, and project management, with experience in

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Experience in materials management and sourcing within design/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience in total quality, Six Sigma, or similar environments.
• Ability to obtain security clearance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to execute the site materials plan meeting customer requirements.
• Develop and implement materials management strategies aligned with project requirements and goals.
• Forecast material needs based on production schedules and lead times.
• Oversee inventory control processes with accurate tracking and reporting.
• Minimize excess stock while avoiding shortages.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the materials management team and foster continuous improvement.
• Develop training programs to enhance team skills in materials management and supply chain processes.
• Ensure ERP master data integrity and regular reviews.
• Communicate recovery plans when slippages occur to Site Lead and functional leads.
• Report materials-related metrics to the organization.
