We’re the UK’s first, largest and fastest‑growing network for state‑educated people. Think of us as the alumni network state schoolers never got – community, connections, opportunities and a louder collective voice.

We’re a social enterprise with real scale ambitions on a mission to make state school pride the norm, not the exception. We’ve grown fast – and now it’s time to build a brand that grows even faster.

The Opportunity

This is a head‑of‑function role with room to run and grow. You’ll shape how The 93% Club shows up in the world – visually, verbally, strategically and culturally – while driving the next phase of our growth.

The 93% Club has grown rapidly – income up 75% year‑on‑year for three consecutive years, student membership up over 100% year‑on‑year, and our professional network up 93% year‑on‑year since launching in 2023. In this role, you’ll be instrumental to building on that momentum, growing memberships, strengthening our community and ensuring our partners not only understand our impact but also know how to engage and work with us.

Most importantly, you’ll help drive the iconic #StateSchoolProud message by crafting our voice, designing big brand moments, and turning us into something instantly recognisable and impossible to ignore.

We want someone who can operate like a creative brand CMO in the making – inventive, data‑literate, audience‑obsessed and excited to experiment.

What you’ll lead
Brand and Creative Leadership
  • Own and evolve the 93% brand end‑to‑end : voice, visual identity, story, experience.
  • Make our tone of voice unmissable : bold, human, culturally relevant.
  • Lead brand campaigns that spark conversation and movement, not just metrics.
  • Build and maintain guidelines that scale, without killing creativity.
Marketing Strategy and Growth
  • Set and execute our marketing strategy across students, professionals and partners, working closely with the Chief Exec to align with organisational priorities.
  • Lead pipeline growth, membership acquisition & engagement.
  • Build funnels, dashboards and data loops to generate insights and inform decisions.
  • Turn insights into action – and actions into measurable outcomes to support scalable growth.
Content and Channels
  • Own content output across social (Instagram, LinkedIn), email and owned channels.
  • Plan and deliver content rhythms, campaigns and storytelling moments.
  • Commission and direct creatives (designers, videographers, agencies).
  • Lead hero creative – films, brand campaigns, activations, digital stunts.
Partnership and Brand Activations
  • Build marketing toolkits and co‑branded campaigns with our partners
  • Create pitch‑worthy decks and sponsorship communications.
  • Amplify partner collaboration in a way that grows reach, not compromises brand.
Community and Membership
  • Design member journeys that feel premium, useful, and full‑of‑heart.
  • Drive retention, growth and value perception across students and professionals.
  • Use data, behaviour patterns and feedback loops to iterate and improve.

What you bring

  • Experience leading brand or marketing at senior level.
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
  • Proven track record building audiences, communities or member bases.
  • Strong content and storytelling instincts – you write very well.
  • Experience running campaigns across digital channels, with a particular focus on social‑first marketing.
  • Setting the roadmap for building the function and team around you, including resources and priorities.
  • Confident managing creatives, freelancers and project timelines.
  • Data‑aware, insight‑driven, commercially minded.
  • A love of bold marketing that sparks conversation.
  • Experience with membership models, subscriptions, D2C and / or consumer brands.
  • Embrace video‑first creativity.
