Job summary

J3A Recruitment is recruiting for a Head of Manufacturing in Wirral, UK. You will lead the manufacturing operation across Production, Engineering and Warehouse, directing a 60+ person workforce and driving a programme of operational and cultural transformation.

The role emphasises Continuous Improvement, TPM, Lean manufacturing and sustainable behavioural change, with accountability for safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in complex manufacturing with 60+ staff.
• Track record of transforming operational performance and culture.
• Strong CI capability with Lean/Six Sigma experience.
• Experience implementing TPM in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing across Production, Engineering and Warehouse.
• Provide direction to 60+ staff and develop operational strategy focused on safety, quality, cost and people.
• Drive a significant programme of Continuous Improvement and cultural change.
• Introduce structure, accountability and consistency in manufacturing.
• Embed TPM and preventative maintenance with Engineering.
• Improve efficiency, equipment performance and reliability.
• Set meaningful KPIs and use data to drive improvements.
• Support introduction and optimisation of new equipment.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality and HSE to raise site performance.
• Identify and deliver CAPEX and plant improvement opportunities.
