Responsibilities
  • Ensure a clean and well-maintained environment in the care home so that residents feel at home and staff can perform their roles effectively.
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere as part of delivering first-class care and support.
  • Handle a variety of tasks within the care home building, gardens, and grounds, from practical maintenance to landscaping.
  • Work independently when needed and also lead a maintenance team.
  • Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
  • Liaise with contractors on jobs that fall outside the expertise of the maintenance team.
About You / Qualifications
  • The wellbeing of residents will be your number one priority; carry out all work with sensitivity to their needs.
  • Hands-on property maintenance experience with at least one trade skill; ideally able to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks.
  • Reliable and flexible regarding working hours.
  • Full UK driving licence;
  • IT literacy;
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
