Responsibilities
  • Strategic Legal Guidance
    • Advise the CEO, executive team, and board of directors on legal strategies, regulatory requirements, and potential risks.
    • Provide counsel on business strategies, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, and other high-stakes matters.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable local and international laws and regulations.
    • Stay updated on changes in legal and regulatory landscapes affecting the business, including those in countries of operation (UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, and India).
    • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and government agencies.
  • Corporate Governance
    • Oversee governance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and shareholder interests.
    • Manage board-related legal matters, including shareholder agreements, resolutions, and documentation.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure robust processes for handling disputes, litigation, and arbitration.
  • Contract Management
    • Review, draft, and negotiate key contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, and strategic partnerships.
    • Standardise contract processes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Leadership and Team Development
    • Lead and develop the legal team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
    • Ensure the team has the tools and resources to support global operations effectively.
  • Policy Development
    • Establish and maintain internal policies to ensure ethical practices and legal compliance.
    • Oversee training programs to educate employees on legal and compliance matters.
  • Litigation and Dispute Resolution
    • Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
    • Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.
