Job description

Head of Lacrosse

We are seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic Head of Lacrosse to join our successful and thriving sports department at Benenden School.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the delivery of lacrosse coaching across the school, ensuring the provision is of the highest standard and enables students of all abilities to fulfil their potential.
• Work closely with the Sports Manager to plan and coordinate a comprehensive fixture programme, including participation in national competitions.
• Develop a varied and engaging co‑curricular programme, including the planning and delivery of interhouse competitions and other events that promote lacrosse within the school and the wider community.
• Teach weekly PE lessons, inspiring students to develop a lifelong love of physical activity and sport.

Qualifications

• Previous playing or coaching experience in lacrosse at a high level is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge and qualification in, or ability to coach, two or more of the following sports: netball, football, cricket, badminton, hockey or tennis.
• Suitable for either a Teacher of Physical Education with lacrosse as a specialism or an experienced lacrosse coach with a strong passion for teaching and coaching in an educational setting.
