Head of HR Services UK
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our organisation as the Head of HR Services, based in Birmingham, UK. This pivotal role will lead the HR & Payroll operations, ensuring seamless support and high-quality service delivery to our employees, the business, and key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and manage HR & Payroll operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery across the organisation.
- Oversee the strategic delivery of all key activities within the employee lifecycle, such as onboarding and offboarding, contractual changes, annual pay and benefit cycles etc.
- Ensure the accurate, timely and compliant delivery of payroll on a monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external legislation, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment law, payroll regulations, and industry trends, ensuring the organisation remains compliant and competitive.
- Represent HR Services and lead collaborative engagements with international teams to drive strategic developments, with a key focus on advancing our people strategy.
- Champion a culture of excellent service delivery, technological innovation, and continuous learning; driving continuous improvement to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to identify and implement best practices within HR Services.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to HR and payroll services, ensuring value for money and quality standards.
Your profile
- Extensive experience in HR service delivery and payroll management, ideally in a large or complex organisation.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Expert knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practices, and payroll legislation, with a commitment to compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrable track record of process improvement and change management.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
- CIPP / CIPD qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
