A local government council in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head of HR and Organisational Development. You will lead strategic workforce initiatives, manage HR policies, and foster an inclusive culture. As our Head of HR and Organisational Development you will be a key member of our Senior Management team, playing a pivotal role in delivering our priorities and preparing the organisation for Local Government Reorganisation.
You will lead our approach to strategic thinking on workforce issues and be responsible for our people strategy, policies and procedures, trade union relations, organisational and cultural improvements, and employee engagement. You will support our staff to realise their true potential and you will recognise our collective responsibility as leaders to motivate and inspire.
You will be a strategic leader with experience in people, culture and organisational development. You’ll bring a strong track record of transformation, inclusive leadership, and strategic impact. You’ll be a collaborative influencer, a confident communicator, and an advocate for excellence and equity.
