Job summary

A leading care home provider in Worthing is seeking a Head of Housekeeping to supervise housekeeping functions and ensure high cleaning standards. You will lead a team, train and mentor housekeepers, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Previous supervisory experience is essential. This full-time role offers a salary of £30,600 per annum plus benefits.

Merriman Grange is a luxurious residential and dementia care home based in Worthing offering state‑of‑the‑art facilities, which include 72 large ensuite bedrooms and 5 luxury care suites. The home also features luxurious lounges and dining rooms, an on‑site café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon.

An exciting opportunity to join us at this stunning location! The Head of Housekeeping role is a hands‑on, supervisory working role. You will be responsible for supervising and auditing all housekeeping functions with the home and ensure that customer care and service is delivered in a consistent manner and that the home, its furnishings, equipment and linen are of the highest standards and safe at all times.

You will supervise the housekeepers and laundry assistants and ensure working rotas are in place. You will need to be able to lead, train and mentor your team whilst following the housekeeping and infection control policy and procedures within the home.

Previous supervisory experience is essential for this role.
