Job description

We’re looking for an experienced and hands‑on Head Housekeeper to lead our Client’s housekeeping team and ensure their care home remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. In this important role, you’ll oversee all cleaning, laundry, and hygiene operations, making sure everything meets the highest standards of safety, comfort, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll lead by example, supervising and motivating the housekeeping team, managing cleaning schedules, and working closely with other departments to ensure the home is well‑maintained and presented to a high standard. This is a practical role where you’ll also take part in daily housekeeping and laundry tasks, while ensuring infection control, COSHH, and health and safety procedures are always followed.

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or management role, with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for maintaining high standards. You should be well‑organised, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues alike. Strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive attitude are essential.
