Job summary

A leading construction and engineering firm is seeking a Head of Health, Safety, Security & Wellbeing to lead the HSSW function on the HS2 project. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards, oversee training delivery, and influence stakeholders. Essential qualifications include a relevant degree or NVQ Level 6, along with experience in health and safety management. This is a critical role for the implementation of safety assurance programs in large-scale projects, ensuring continuous improvement and innovative practices within the team.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent NVQ Level 6.
• Working towards MIEMA or CMIOSH qualification.
• Extensive health and safety-related experience in construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide line management to direct reports.
• Support and influence Contract Leadership Team and Clients.
• Ensure training delivery for successful SHE Management System implementation.
• Develop and implement SHE Assurance programme.
