Job summary

Holland & Barrett is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in a senior finance leadership role based in Nuneaton. The role oversees group budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, shaping how FP&A operates and interacts with the CFO, executive team and board.

You will lead a team of about 10 professionals, drive improvements in planning, reporting and analytics, and ensure finance spends time analyzing data to influence strategic decisions.

Nuneaton | Hybrid | Permanent
The contractual base for this role is Nuneaton. We expect you to spend three days per week in the office, typically Monday and Tuesday in Nuneaton and Thursday in London. There will be some flexibility around these days from time to time, depending on business events and priorities.

The Role:

We're looking for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to give Holland & Barrett a clear view of performance, what's changing and where we need to act.

You’ll own Group planning, forecasting and performance reporting across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, bringing together the numbers, the story behind them and the actions that need to follow.

This is a senior Finance leadership role with regular exposure to the CFO, Executive Team and Board, leading a team of 10 and working across Finance and the wider business.

And there’s a real opportunity to shape how FP&A works.

You’ll lead our FP&A and Analyst Centres of Excellence, improving planning, reporting and analysis so Finance spends less time producing information and more time using it to make better decisions.

What you’ll be doing

• Own Group budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning end to end.
• Bring together a clear view of performance across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Own the quality and narrative of reporting for the CFO, Executive Team and Board.
• Identify the key drivers, risks and opportunities behind performance - and make sure the right actions follow.
• Partner closely with the CFO, bringing independent insight and constructive challenge to in-year and strategic plans.
• Support Investor Relations with clear insight on performance, outlook and value drivers.
• Lead a team of 10 across FP&A and the Analyst Centre of Excellence.
• Set clearer, more consistent standards for management accounting, analysis and reporting.
• Improve planning and reporting through better processes, automation and simpler ways of working.
• Build the Analyst Centre of Excellence as a strong pipeline for future Finance talent.

What you’ll bring

• You'll have led FP&A in a complex, multi-site business, with experience owning planning, forecasting, performance reporting and decision support at Group level.
• You’ll be comfortable around senior leaders - able to challenge assumptions, simplify complexity and get quickly to the few things that really matter.
• You’ll also know that good FP&A isn't about explaining last month's variance beautifully. It's about helping the business make a better decision next.
• You’ll bring strong commercial judgement, experience improving Finance processes and operating models, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• A professional Finance qualification such as ACCA or CIMA is required.
