Job summary

Pear Talent - Finance Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial services firm to recruit a Head of FP&A for IT & Projects. Hybrid role with two days in the office, you will own FP&A across IT and project portfolios and drive budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal, and cost management.

You will report to the Director of FP&A and collaborate with executive leadership to shape technology investments and cost efficiency while leading a small team in a fast transforming organisation.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• FP&A experience within financial services.
• Experience overseeing financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for IT functions and project portfolios.
• Strong understanding of technology investment, CapEx vs OpEx and project financial management.
• Experience evaluating business cases, monitoring project expenditure and identifying cost efficiencies.
• Confident partnering with senior stakeholders, particularly across IT, Technology and Change.
• Previous team leadership or management experience.
• Financial modelling, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of FP&A across IT and Projects, including budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal and cost management.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to influence IT and technology investment decisions.
• Lead and develop the FP&A function to support growth and transformation initiatives.

Location: Hybrid 2 days in office

We're currently working on an exciting opportunity with a well-established, growing financial services organisation looking for a Head of FP&A – IT & Projects.

This is a senior, commercially focused role offering the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and influence key business decisions across IT, technology investment and strategic projects. You'll take ownership of financial planning and analysis across the IT and Projects functions, playing a key role in budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal and cost management. Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, this is an excellent opportunity to combine strong technical FP&A expertise with strategic business partnering and leadership within a business continuing to invest in its growth and transformation.

Key responsibilities and experience:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
