Job summary

CMA Executive is partnering with a private equity-backed organisation to appoint a Head of Finance in Surrey (onsite five days a week). Reporting to the CFO, this senior role oversees the day-to-day finance across a multi-entity group and drives improvements in reporting, controls and forecasting, with a clear progression path to CFO.

You will lead budgeting, cashflow management, group consolidations, tax and lender reporting, while developing the finance team and delivering commercial insight

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong academic record.
• Experience in PE-backed or high-growth businesses.
• Experience leading multi-entity finance teams.
• Proven track record in month-end close, group consolidations and statutory reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting and group consolidations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
• Maintain controls, governance and compliance.
• Manage audit, statutory/tax and lender reporting.
• Drive system improvements and reporting enhancements.
• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Support acquisition activity and post-acquisition integration.
• Provide commercial insight to support decision-making.
