About the Head of Finance role

The Head of Finance will be operationally responsible for the financial processes and governance of the charity and provide timely and relevant insight and analysis to influence decision making and performance.

Managing the Finance team, you will lead on all accounting activities in accordance with the Charity Commission's Standards of Recommended Practice (SORP), and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including HMRC, the Charity Commission and the Gambling Commission. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and Director of Finance & Transformation to propose the financial strategy and budgets for the organisation to the Board of Trustees, and act as the principal liaison with the appointed auditors.
