Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant subject area.
• Proven leadership experience as Head of Department or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and line management for subject leads and teachers.
• Oversee curriculum design, assessment, and data analysis to improve student outcomes.
• Lead initiatives to close achievement gaps and raise reading proficiency across the faculty.
• Plan and deliver high-challenge lessons with effective feedback and re-teaching where needed.
• Ensure effective behavior management and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with SENDCo and families to support student wellbeing and progress.
