Head of Events – Event Agency

My client, one of Europe’s fastest‑growing companies and widely recognised as a world‑leading provider of event and travel solutions, is seeking an outstanding candidate to join their fast‑growing event division as Head of Events EMEA. This is a key leadership role at the heart of the business, with a focus on shaping strategy, driving operational and commercial success of the events division, elevating operations, and propelling the event division’s growth and profitability, working in sync with the North America office.

Event agency experience is a must!

As a priority you will:

• Lead, mentor, and empower a team of Event Directors and Senior Event Managers, fostering collaboration, performance, and professional growth
• Oversee resourcing, workflow, and operational delivery, ensuring efficiency, alignment, and excellence across all event functions
• Drive financial performance through meticulous oversight of forecasts, profitability, cash flow, and event budgets
• Strengthen client relationships by developing robust account management structures that elevate service and retention
• Shape and run the EMEA growth strategy in partnership with business development and marketing – aligning sales efforts, market insights, and competitive intelligence to capture new opportunities

To be successful you will need:

• 8+ years senior leadership driving world‑class live events across global markets; background in busy agency environments is essential
• Sharp strategic, commercial, and operational mindset – from P&L ownership and smart budgeting to complex vendor negotiations
• Proven ability to build, inspire, and scale high‑performing teams across regions, fostering growth, agility, and a culture of excellence
• Trusted client partner skilled in managing senior stakeholders, winning major pitches, and delivering standout RFP responses
• Expert in end‑to‑end event delivery
• Strong collaborator who bridges business development, marketing, and operations to fuel growth and elevate brand impact

This role is based in London and offers a 1/4 hybrid pattern.
