Job summary

The Hall School is seeking an experienced estates/operations leader to shape the future of the school’s facilities. You will lead a busy operations team, manage budgets, and oversee estates, facilities, health and safety, security, transport, grounds and lettings.

The role combines day-to-day oversight with long-term projects and requires a proactive, resilient leader who can deliver outstanding service. You will work closely with the Head to create a safe, welcoming, well-maintained environment

Qualifications

• Substantial estates, facilities or operations management experience.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Leadership of a team and budget management experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance and safeguarding.

Job description

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced estates or operations professional to lead a busy operations team and play a key role in shaping the future of a thriving independent school.

Working closely with the Head, you will have strategic responsibility for all aspects of estates and operational management, including facilities,cleaning, health and safety, security, transport, grounds and commercial lettings. You will ensure that our pupils, staff and visitors benefit from a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment while helping to drive continuous improvement across the School.

This is a highly varied and rewarding leadership position, combining day-to-day operational oversight with exciting long-term projects, including estate development and refurbishment initiatives. You will lead a dedicated team, manage significant budgets, oversee compliance and health and safety, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the School community.
