GLOT Inc. is building real-time translation for real-world conversations from a London base. You will join a small, well-funded team that values first-principles thinking and durable systems. You’ll work across AI, backend and frontend, moving between disciplines as the product demands.
We look for people who have shipped impactful products, can scale architectures for growing teams, and thrive on complex, ambiguous problems. Experience with real-time audio or developer-facing APIs is a big plus.
We believe no one should be a stranger just because they speak a different language.
Imagine two people, no shared language, talking as easily as old friends. That's exactly what we are building: real-time translation for real-world conversations.
It sounds like it should already exist. It doesn't.
We're a small, well-funded team in the heart of London, backed by people who built the tech already in your pocket, and we're right at the start. No one has built this before, including us, and that's the best part.
Make the Complex Simple: We work on difficult problems, but complexity is not a sign of sophistication. The best solution is usually the one that removes complexity while preserving what matters.
Think Before You Build: We value speed, but not reflex. Before acting, we define the problem, question the assumptions and understand the trade-offs. Then we commit and execute decisively.
Build Systems, Not Patches: We design code, products and company processes as clear, independent modules. Each part should have a defined purpose and clean boundaries, so it can evolve without making the wider system harder to understand.
You will fit in here if you think from first principles, care about the quality of your reasoning and enjoy turning complicated problems into simple, durable systems.
You'll work closely with our Head of Product and Head of AI. You'll be expected to be comfortable across the full stack - AI, backend and frontend - and move between them as the product demands. We're a small team, so versatility matters more than specialisation right now.
