Job summary

Chadwick Nott in Oxford is seeking a senior Employment Solicitor to step up to Head of Department and Director level. The role offers leadership of a busy Employment practice with strong client base and opportunities for equity progression.

The ideal candidate will have significant Employment experience, strong technical capability, and proven management and business development skills to lead the department and advise senior stakeholders.

• Advise senior stakeholders on complex employment matters (contentious and non-contentious).

Salary: £80k-£95k - depending on experience

PQE Level: 8+

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior Employment Solicitor to take a genuine step up into a Head of Department and Director-level position with a highly regarded full-service law firm. The firm has an established reputation across the Southeast and Midlands, possessing a strong client base and a busy Employment practice.

There is no expectation that you bring a following or guaranteed work; there's a healthy pipeline of existing work with the opportunity to lead and further develop the department. However, an ability to demonstrate a record of good business development is expected. The successful candidate will have significant Employment experience, strong technical capability, alongside the management experience and commercial judgement required to lead a team. You will advise senior stakeholders on complex employment matters (contentious and non-contentious), including senior exits, restructures, litigation, transactions and wider strategic issues.
