Job summary

Newport County AFC Academy is seeking an experienced educator to join our staff and support player development within the academy structure. The role involves planning and delivering lectures, observing PDP training, and contributing to the club’s syllabus while engaging with young professionals and staff.

The successful candidate will bring UEFA A Licence and other teaching qualifications, with safeguarding responsibilities and DBS checks in place.

Qualifications

• Qualified educator with senior coaching/educational qualifications.
• Experience in youth player development and safeguarding.
• Familiar with delivering lectures and supporting a club syllabus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lectures and educational sessions.
• Observe PDP training sessions and provide feedback.
• Attend weekend games where applicable.
• Support player development and contribute to the academy syllabus implementation.

Job description

Our Head of Education play s a critical role in developing and supporting our players within the Academy .

We are currently seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced, and passionate educator to join our already successful team of staff.

The successful candidate will be required to plan and deliver lectures and educational sessions, observe PDP training sessions, attend weekend games (where applicable) and support individual players development whilst playing their part in the development and implementation of the club’s syllabus.

• 8 Extensive knowledge and experience of the role and the position
• 9 Experience working across academy age groups
• 10 Experience working with young professional players
• 11 Understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
• 12 IT skills to include the ability to use Football Intelligence Platform (FIP) software and Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word and Outlook)
