Job summary

Merton Council seeks a Deputy Director to lead the ambitious New Homes Programme, including the c.£1bn transformation of Morden town centre. You will have responsibility for a £350m+ housing delivery programme and a substantial grant allocation, shaping the pipeline from opportunities to delivery on the ground.

You will work at the heart of our relationships with the GLA, developers, investors and registered providers, unlocking investment and finding creative ways to deliver more high-quality

Responsibilities

• Lead the New Homes Programme and oversee its delivery milestones.
• Shape and drive the pipeline from opportunity identification and viability testing through to funding, procurement, partnerships and delivery on the ground.
• Work at the heart of relationships with the GLA, developers, investors and registered providers to unlock investment and deliver more high-quality affordable homes.
• As Deputy Director, support leadership of the wider Regeneration & Planning division and influence Merton's future through major project delivery and commercial leadership.
