About the Role

From 3D Design and Engineering to hands‑on projects that bring ideas to life, you’ll guide students to explore, experiment, and achieve. This role is ideal for an ambitious teacher ready to take on more responsibility, or an established subject lead looking for a fresh challenge in a collaborative, forward‑thinking school.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire the Design & Technology department, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Plan, implement, and deliver a broad, balanced, and adaptive Design & Technology curriculum.
  • Teach across Design & Technology, 3D Design, and Engineering at Senior School level.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development as a form tutor.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and engagement through creative, purposeful teaching.
  • Monitor student progress and attainment, ensuring all learners reach their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the Senior School.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE – essential.
  • Proven experience teaching Design & Technology in a Senior School environment.
  • Strong understanding of 3D Design, Engineering, and design software/tools.
  • Experience in curriculum leadership or a genuine desire to take on a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for inspiring young people through creative, practical learning experiences.
