Job Overview

Beacon High has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Head of Music to lead our developing, and collaborative faculty from January. The successful candidate will help us to achieve our vision: Believe, Belong, Become - Where Dreams Inspire Futures; they will play a crucial role in enabling our KS3 and 4 students to achieve their potential and prepare them for the next stage in their learning and development.

  • You are committed to building rapport with our students from the get‑go and engaging them in your subject.
  • You can lead and inspire an established and successful team of professionals.
  • You have the resilience, drive, strength of character and sense of both humour and perspective to thrive in a fast‑paced, demanding and ambitious environment.
  • You have current experience as a Head of Music or Second in Department.
